New Roads for 2008 Showground

As a result of the horrendous weather conditions we experienced at last years show, the organisers have agreed with the landowners, Lord Johnstone and the Earl of Annandale and Hartfell that a new road system and hardstanding be installed in the showground and car park areas. Work has already started and despite continuing bad weather the work will soon be completed. This work will ensure that there will be no repeat of the access and parking problems experienced this year and will further ensure the continuing success of the Galloway Country Fair. Other improvements for 2008 are new security fencing and car park management to enhance the improved showground access project. The organisers would like to express their thanks to Lord Johnstone and the Earl of Annandale and Hartfell for their help and support in preparation for the 2008 Galloway Country Fair.
