Heron Lodge is situated in lovely peaceful, rural countryside on the edge of Mabie Forest a tranquil and peaceful location surrounded by breathtaking views of surrounding countryside and Mabie Forest.

This luxury lodge is privately owned and can accommodate 4 guests in comfort with all modern amenities for a great self catering holiday break.Heron Lodge is very well equipped and presented in immaculate order to enable our guests to have a great self catering holiday ensuring a comfortable stay year round.

Heron Lodge can accommodate up to 4 guests, with two bedrooms 1 double and 1 twin bedded room, full bathroom facilities, comfortable lounge with patio doors and breathtaking views, and fully equipped kitchen for all your self catering needs. Set in its own private enclosed gardens with parking at side of property and verandah with patio furniture gas bbq for alfresco dining.

Set in the former grounds of Cairnyard House on an uncommercialised site. Located 5 miles from Dumfries town on the A711 (Dumfries and Dalbeattie Road), 19 miles from Raehills and 1 mile before Beeswing village.

Take a relaxing weeks break either to take in the surrounding countryside and area or get out and about to explore historical places of interest or take time out to pursue your hobbies or interests like mountain biking at the nearby Mabie and Dalbeattie 7stanes trails, fishing, birdwatching, golf, walking, mountain biking or horse riding .

Date set for 2012 Tue 11/10/2011 The 2011 Galloway Country Fair was a huge success with the added bonus of some fine weather. Visitor numbers were up on 2010 with some great feedback... Free Dog Creche Facilities Thu 14/07/2011 Samsalin will be offering free dog creche facilities on both days and will be situated by the entry to the show ground.
