Scurry, Mini Test and Gundog Parade
SCURRY
Galloway Gundogs are delighted to be organising this year’s Gundog Scurry, a fun-filled event including all the usual rough and tumble of a competitive Scurry. This is always great fun for competitors and their dogs and will be set up to make sure spectators have an unrestricted view of the action.
In case you are not sure what a “Scurry” is – it’s a race against the clock to retrieve one or more dummies, with a few obstacles thrown in to add to the fun and excitement.
There will be great prizes on both days for the “Spaniel Class” the “Retriever Class” and the “Any Other Breed Class”
GUNDOG PARADE
You will of course see the main gundog breeds, Labradors, Springer and Cocker Spaniels going through their paces. We are however planning to show you some of the less well known breeds in the Gundog Parade. We hope to have some of the many diverse spaniels, retrievers, pointers and setters many of which are still being used at shoots throughout the countryside today.
