GCF - Flying High in 2010!

Posted on Monday, 16 November 2009 11:04AM by
Organisers of the Galloway Country Fair are well underway with preparations for next year’s event, which takes place at Raehills, near Moffat, on August 21-22.

Having scored the biggest coup in the event’s eight year history by securing the world famous Red Arrows, who gave a spectacular display  at this year’s fair, Jane Sargeant is again looking to the sky to provide some dramatic highlights for 2010.

“Jim McTaggart’s VT10 aerobatic display was so popular on the Saturday this year that we’ve booked him for both days,” she says.

And there’s an exciting chance for fair goers to take to the skies themselves next year with a helicopter ride.

Jane who organizes the fair with hubby ‘Sarge’ – has booked Blue Sky Charter to offer pleasure helicopter rides over the site during the weekend. They are £35 per person but discounts are available for people who book in advance.

See Blue Sky Charter's website for more information.

Tickets for the ninth annual Galloway Country Fair, which is one of the region’s major annual events are £10 for adults and £2 for children 10 to 16 years. Car parking remains free.
