Description Dumfries and Galloway is often described as the Lowland Highlands.  It is often missed as people drive on past Gretna to Edinburgh and beyond. Those who do find us, however, visit us year after year enjoying not only the excellent hospitality, but also the mild Gulf Stream climate that runs through and around  this coast line. Dumfries and Galloway is well known for its strong links with Robert Burns, our famous Scottish Bard. The wonderful scenery, glorious coastline and spectacular night skies make it a very special place to visit. We hope to add another 'string to its bow' as we believe this area has some of the very best local Scottish produce that you can find.
