Falconry

The word falconry conjures up many images in different peoples minds, for a sport that has existed for over 4000 yrs it is still remarkable misunderstood!

Adrian Hallgarth is head falconer with the country’s top entertainment and education team at Phoenix Falconry who have been attending shows, Gala days and game fairs throughout Europe for over two decades. It’s his role to unravel some of the mysteries of the sport, to you our special guests.

Phoenix’s Falconry’s unique blend of education, entertainment and sheer spectacle has made them firm favourites in main arena’s throughout Europe, indeed in a independent poll carried out at the National Country sports fair in Northern Ireland, they have been voted top attraction (over many superb displays) for the past three years running!

Their static display has a little something for everyone and features an impressive array of Falcons, Hawks, Eagles and Owls from around the world. So come along and talk Hawk, get stunning photographs or even participate in a hands-on lesson!

The team will perform twice daily in the main arena with two free flying demonstrations of these marvellous predators. The displays have a little something for everyone and are sure to include some audience participation, so get there early to get a good seat.
