Contrail Gundogs are delighted to again be running the 2010 Galloway Country Fair Gundog Scurry for the general public to - 'have a go' - with prizes on each day for both Retrievers and Spaniels. We will announce the programme shortly, however it is likely to follow last year's successful programme, which was:
The Scurry will run from 10.00 am through to 4.00pm with prize giving at 4.30pm.
There will be prizes this year for the fastest Spaniel and the fastest Retriever on each day with an overall prize for the fastest Retriever and Spaniel over two days.
This year we are sponsored by Tarimoor Art; Tarimoor Art is pleased to sponsor the Gundog Scurry, and will be providing the prizes for the event, held over the two days. The work of Tarimoor Art features gundog artwork, with many pieces portraying working dogs. The ethos behind Tarimoor Art is to give a choice of good quality products for those who choose to work or compete with their dogs, or even just for those with working dog breeds; as well as this, original art work is featured for sale, along with other related products, such as personalised shoot cards, puppy packs, and illustrations. Simultaneously, Contrail Gundogs give daily demonstrations in the Main Ring featuring Labrador retrievers and working Cocker Spaniels. We have in the Ring pups and part-trained dogs up to fully trained Kennel Club Field Trial Award winning dogs who have distinguished themselves both in the shooting field and in competition.
